Project Overview

In 2015, global internet giant Yahoo expanded its presence in Dublin, investing €10.9 million to develop new offices in the Docklands. This expansion increased the company’s Irish workforce from 320 to 450 employees and reinforced the area’s reputation as Dublin’s “Silicon Docks,” home to numerous leading technology firms.

Dlight was commissioned by MCA to develop the lighting scheme in collaboration with Architect David Pearson. The brief required lighting that both complemented the monolithic architectural design and supported practical tasks. Multiple pendant styles were reviewed for the open-ceiling concept, ultimately leading to the selection of Lightnet’s Ringo Star Acoustic.

This luminaire was bespoke-modified for the installation, with an enlarged overall size to meet the project’s aesthetic, acoustic, and functional requirements.
