Sculptural, Functional, Mood-Making: Wall Lights by SkLO

From elegant flush-mounts and sleek pendants to dramatic chandeliers and glowing table lamps, every type of lighting shapes the atmosphere of an interior. Yet wall lighting holds a unique appeal. Unlike ceilings, shelves, floors, or tables, walls engage the body in a more immediate and permanent way. When a space is illuminated solely from the walls, it evokes a mood entirely distinct from light cast from above.

Wall sconces meet a unique functional need while offering the chance for delightfully sculptural forms and captivating shapes. They can sit atop bold or subtle graphic wall coverings, blend seamlessly with artwork, inhabit the intimacy of a bedside space, or frame mirrors with presence. They can glow before us, or from behind. And at SkLO, there’s always glass: exploring opacity, form, neutrals and colour!

Dot 2X

A series of candy-coloured mix-and-match handblown glass spheres mounted on sleek brass canopies. Dot allows for extraordinary juxtapositions of shape and colour with versions offering one, two or three lit glass diffusers.

Drape Arm 1

The Drape Arm 1 Sconce is a single diffuser of handblown Czech glass suspended from a moveable arm. The glass diffusers are available in three shapes and in both dipped glass, featuring the SkLO double-dipped flame-polished mouth and textured glass, featuring a soft, frosted finish and subtle sculpted vertical ridges.

Hold

An expressive glass vessel that appears to droop from its hook as if molten serves as a shade on this wall sconce. The socket is suspended from the hook on a fabric-wrapped electrical cord and is loosely suspended within the glass.

Stem 2X

The Stem 2X Sconce/Ceiling is a minimal light consisting of a pair of 110mm diameter diffusers of handblown Czech glass on a simple symmetrical brass armature. Suitable for use as a ceiling light or as a wall light. The glass diffusers are available in both dipped and textured glass.

Dome

A dome of handblown Czech glass with a frosted finish is suspended on a length of custom brass chain.

Pillow

Lit spheres of glass are nestled into a curving recess in a larger frosted pillow of glass. Each of the two shapes is available in three colors, allowing for a multitude of possible combinations.
