Located in the heart of Donnybrook, the vision for the &Alex Dental Practice was to create a calming, modern environment that enhances the patient experience. The design aimed to blend contemporary aesthetics with warm finishes and a soothing colour palette, while also addressing the functional needs of this busy dental practice. SaulDesign were the appointed Architect and Interior Designer on this project.

The lighting solutions chosen for this project played a key role in realising this vision, both from a decorative and technical perspective. Some of these lighting solutions are outlined below:

The Alemadandra Organic Suspension by Flos was selected for the reception area, offering a delicate design that adds visual interest. Its adjustable light units, which can rotate in 60º increments, allow for customised light direction, enhancing the spaces’ aesthetic.

For general areas and bathrooms, the Liila 1 wall light and Miira 1 pendant by Nuura were chosen.

These fixtures, with their brass accent and spherical shape, cast a warm, inviting glow, contributing to the overall softness and beauty of the interior.

In one of the surgery rooms, a striking gold circular pendant by LedsC4 was installed. This minimalist piece serves both as an ambient and functional luminaire, providing the perfect balance between aesthetics and practicality.

On the technical side, the lighting needs were met with Dea Amata and Dea Carmenta fixtures from Karizma Luce. These lights delivered the necessary lumen output and colour temperature for the clinical setting. These fittings are available in a range of colour finishes, and for this project, a white body with a chrome reflector was selected to complement both the overall lighting scheme and the interior design.
