Project Overview
One of Waterford’s most prominent buildings, situated on the city’s prestigious Mall, forms part of the Waterford Medieval Triangle. Dlight were first brought in to review the site by Waterford City Council. The level of detail that architects John O’Connell and Colin McCabe wished to incorporate into the lighting scheme presented significant challenges. Throughout this beautiful listed building, we were constrained by the existing lighting structures and layouts.
To illuminate the many artworks throughout the building, we proposed using the brass picture rail to house a 3-phase track system. All artworks are lit with bespoke picture lights using the latest LED technology. Dlight also developed a bespoke dimming system, remote to each luminaire, specifically for this project.
