Project Overview
Founded in 1970, the Institute of Technology Carlow has produced over 55,000 graduates to date. The Institute currently has more than 8,300 students and 800 staff, with enrolment numbers continuing to grow each year. Offering over 80 taught programmes up to Level 9 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ), IT Carlow is one of Ireland’s leading higher education institutions.
Dlight supplied lighting for the Institute’s Restaurant and Concourse areas, creating bright, inviting spaces where students can relax, study, and socialise between lectures.
The result is a light-filled environment enhanced by a vibrant mix of colours expressed through both lighting and interior design elements.
A combination of decorative and technical lighting brands were used throughout the project. Scandinavian-inspired designs from Muuto and Zero bring warmth and character, complemented by Italian elegance from Molto Luce and high-performance technical fittings from Ivela and Lightnet.
